Do all air conditioners provide heating?
No. Only reversible units (heat pumps) can heat. You can tell because the remote has a sun or flame mode in addition to the snowflake. If you're not sure, we can check during the visit.
Why isn't my air conditioner heating?
The most common causes are dirty filters and coil, low refrigerant due to a leak, or a fault in the reversing valve or defrost cycle. The technical inspection measures gas pressure and delta T in heating mode to pinpoint the exact cause.
Is it normal for it to smell odd the first time I turn on heating this season?
A faint burning-dust smell for the first few minutes is normal after months without using heating mode. If the smell persists, is strong, or smells of damp, the unit should be checked.
Is the heating-mode check a different service from technical maintenance?
It's the same full technical maintenance (€119 VAT included), but the technician also checks heating performance: gas, delta T and the defrost cycle, if your unit is reversible.
When should I check my air conditioner before winter?
Ideally before the first cold snap, in October or November, to catch any issue before you depend on the unit every day.
How much does a heat pump check cost in Barcelona?
